Since Pukkelpop has a strong reputation for online availability, this had to be maintained. After all, who doesn’t get frustrated with an incredibly slow website?

To understand how a festival website or ticket sales platform will perform when launched and featured in the national press, you need to take proactive measures.

The solution? Load testing. Using specialized tools, you simulate a number of visitors on a website and have them interact with it. Unfortunately, the Ethias Arena was unavailable, and Level27 couldn’t quickly find thousands of visitors willing to test the site in person.

Fortunately, virtual load testing exists. For Pukkelpop’s infrastructure, Loader.io proved to be the ideal tool. It allows thousands of users to be simulated, with optional extras available as needed. “Level27’s comprehensive load testing was a significant added value for us. Based on the results, we were able to improve not only the performance of our code and underlying platforms but also their stability.”
