Rock Werchter is a unique experience. The lineup is always world-class. The conditions are outstanding. The festival atmosphere is omnipresent. Rock Werchter is a multiple award-winning international top event. It holds a prominent place in the calendar of every music lover.
What does Level27 do for Rock Werchter?
Everything that is needed. Within the festival world, Level27 is the reference for hosting, just like our partner Inventis is for web development. Belgium’s biggest music festival is naturally part of our reference list.
The message from Werchter was clear: get it done. And fast. Of course, we took up the challenge. In just a few days, we set up an infrastructure built to withstand heavy loads. We analyzed the existing setup, performed load tests, simulated thousands of users, and ensured the websites were online for the important lineup announcement.
All on time and within budget of course.
Interested in the technical details?
Sure, why not. We built a cluster with an nginx frontend and HAProxy load balancers spread across two data centers. Behind them, several web servers running nginx, PHP, and Varnish page caching. The setup was completed with a MySQL database cluster. Everything is managed and monitored by our own platform. Voilà!
(We know this is just the tip of the iceberg. If you want to know more, feel free to contact us.)

And a little about us
Level27 guarantees relaxed online experiences. We ensure an online presence without delays so your visitors can surf smoothly, feel your brand, and want to come back.
We are only satisfied when a website works perfectly, and that only happens when we push optimization to the limit together with the web developer. This is always important, especially for a site like Rock Werchter that needs to handle thousands of simultaneous visitors!
